A Better World
Listening to The Africa Forum on Irie FM Sunday morning, and hearing the host talking about some of the horrible things that have happened in our world centuries ago, and some of these atrocities are still happening too. Trillions of dollars, human resources, efforts, actions, time and technology have been spent and used in trying to make our world a better place. Is our world a better place today than centuries ago? All the bad things in our world have beneficiaries and victims. And that is not good. But then so are all the good things in our world too, but in a different way. Either way, we need to come together to make our world a better place.
Someone said, “the truth depends on which side you are on and how you benefit from it.” But I find, most of us must find ourselves in a certain situation to be able to understand the meaning. The man who benefits from the truth will fight to reveal it. The man who doesn’t will fight to keep it hidden. What would you do if the truth won’t set you free?
