Alcoholism isn't easy to beat.

When my brother came along six years later she babied him excessively. My father was an alcoholic, who primarily drank in a small bar, so we didn’t see alcohol much at home. He was in and out of Alcoholics Anonymous when I was in high school, but didn’t get completely sober until I was 21.
