…stick with my original rant nonetheless, starting with the powerlessness I felt, 20 years ago, when I saw my mother and other senior residents languishing in wheelchairs that lined the nursing home corridors, unattended to and helpless. How tragic it is that in America we toss our elderly aside like yesterday’s leftovers. Unless, of course, we’re wealthy enough to do otherwise.
