Bad or negative memories are accompanied by pain, that tends to last longer than joy. But not for me. My brain is my CPU and it’s programmed to remember naughty, nice and weird. All other information is lost in transition. I use my pain, and the pain I witness others bring upon themselves as a guide on what not to do, and what to stay away from. Then I live my life accordingly. I treasure kindness and give it back, even when I don’t get it back from the ones I give it to, because it will bounce back to me. I never forget the kindness I have received or the ones who give it. And I teach my children accordingly. I don’t like pain, so I don’t hold on to it, because if I do, it will cling to me and never let go. My life is hard enough, even without pain.
