Chapter 48

Inside the office of Captain Gellent, famed hypnotist Dr. Jonas Getty took a tour, inspecting the displays of hunting trophies in awe, smiled, and remarked, “beautiful, but how did you get that one out of Australia, because you don’t look like the type to go to New Guinea?” pointing to the spiny anteater.

Captain Gellent smile spread across his face, and he complimented, “You are good, I thought you guys only know about putting people to sleep without medication.”

Dr. Getty snickered a little and replied, “that’s a nice way of looking at it, but it’s way more than that.” Pointing to the long-beaked spiny anteater, he shared, “Did you know they have entered the list of the critically endangered species, and also are on dinner plates in New Guinea?”

That erased the smile off the face of Captain Gellent, and he quickly rebounded, “This is Sgt. Dan Booker, he is from New York, and he is investigating the fire from the flower shop,” attempting to change the subject.

Sgt. Booker's eyes flashed from Captain Gellent to Dr. Getty, taking Dr. Getty's extended hand.

“Now gentlemen,” Captain Gellent continued, handing a file to Sgt. Booker.
“We have a problem.”
