Chapter 50

I quickly swept through the museum. My eyes picking up nothing unusual or suspicious. Closed Circuit Cameras were everywhere surrounding all the artifacts, so I stayed to the side away from them. I beelined for the attached library and approached the Librarian. She glanced at my Id, then allowed me access to the research room. Then she began to explain where the reference section was located, and which computer had access to their archives. There were no cameras in this room.

Their computers had nothing to tell about the cursed ‘Oolonpo Tribe or the Yellow Diamond, and neither did their archives. I dared not ask anyone. If the Yellow Diamond Hibiscus was connected to the Oolonpo tribe, even the mention of their name could be dangerous. I knew, somehow, I would eventually have to ask someone. Makelaka and Malia were out. I sat there thinking about my next move.

I guess I must have sat there too long. A librarian came up to me and asked, “Can I help you? You have been sitting here for a while.”

I smiled wondering, “Oh, sorry I wasn’t aware.” A voice inside me urged, ‘Ask her.’

“Yes, you can help, I hope so. I am a writer doing some research on the ancient Hawaiians. I have found all the tribes except the Oolonpo.”
