…to restaurants who may serve extraordinary pancakes but lack the decency to serve real maple syrup. I’ve taken my syrup to one restaurant so often now, when the server comes to the table to take our order, she looks dryly at me, rolls her eyes, and says, “I guess you’ll be having the pancakes.”
