Damn, the human mind is hell sometimes.

As you can see from the copyright date, I wrote this poem last year — in mid-December to be precise — soon after three conspiracy theorists ambushed four young police officers on a remote Queensland property killing two of them execution-style as well as a good Samaritan who came to check on his neighbours’ welfare. The three fanatics were later killed in a police shoot-out.
