Enoch 6–11 purports to reveal how the fallen angels fell to earth and impregnated human women, eventually causing a race of giants called the Nephilim. Interpretations of the story over the years have varied significantly, with some people taking it as true version of events and others seeing it as an allegory warning against mingling with foreigners.
Similarly, this story has been read in multiple ways — where at one end it is taken verbatim and on the other say it appears linguistically.
