Give & Take!

Talking about relationships last night, and someone wanted to know how some of us managed to make it last for 30, 40, 50 or 60 years.

The speaker said, ‘I have interviewed a lot of married couples in long term relationships. Each of them has their own secret, but one word they all say is ‘GIVE.’ She continued, “the ones who manage to make it last are the ‘big givers,’ and the giving must come from both ends.”

In relationships, some of us outplayed ourselves, some of us out-give ourselves, and others out-take and lose. Relationships are not hard for a giver, but that giver must find another giver to balance their love and that is the secret for their lasting love. GIVE and TAKE! Images were taken by the author.
