He hasn't forgotten us. He never will.

My transistor radio describes
 the latest shrapnel scarring society.
 I fear God has given the world 
 over to evil;
 he no longer applauds
 his dying creation as good.
 He has fled, freed from the cage
 of the body of Christ,
 leaving behind the broken pieces
 of his compassion and love, 
 shattered shells washed ashore.
