I am going through the same thing with my twins.

It’s still hard to watch Emily struggle. It’s hard not fix things for her and to step back from her life which is probably still too intertwined with mine. But I’m learning. I’m trying. I swear I’m letting go a bit more as she gets older and more fully formed each passing year.

I am going through the same thing with my twins. We grew up together and it's hard seeing them struggle and fight life. It really, really hurts. But I must let them learn from life like I did.
