I too often wondered by must my race be constantly proving themselves.

… the consequences of your actions and how they would be judged more harshly because of your colour. Black is having to think if I do this or go there or say this, this could be a problem for me because of preconceived misconceptions. Black is having to deal and live with the negative consequences of racism and then being told you are the problem. Black is trying to live and get by in your community like any other human but with the added pressure of having to constantly educate or avoid those who choose to remain blind.
