I didn’t respond to her emails, and gradually she quit trying. I am not trying to justify my actions. I should have been more upfront with her, but I just didn’t know what to say. It has been more than a year now, and I think it is time to forgive myself. After all, I treated her with more respect than she treated me when we were together.
