I was born alone. I enjoy being alone. I let no one pressure me to mingle.

As early as my teenage years, I recognized my need for a quieter life. I just didn’t act on it. There were pressures from all around me to be sociable. To have a friendship group and to mingle. I didn’t hate it, but I was always relieved when a party was over. I could go home and exhale.
