I wonder why I never tried hard to please anyone. I love myself enough to be me.

My mother was a narcissist. I know the damage this type of a person can cause because this was what I experienced growing up. I would do anything to get her love. I grew up to be a people pleaser after years of practicing pleasing her. It fucked up my relationship with myself. I was wired for self-doom.
