When a 10, 12, or 14-year-old kid is found to be drinking and/or doing drugs there is a reason. “They’re just being kids” is not normally the reason. When we grew up, mental health was ignored purposefully. It was hidden and something that families didn’t want to be known. Yet here we are 50-60-70 years later and mental health is still ignored by the vast majority.
