In my culture, they say we are ignorant, but we have lots of vigilante justice in that area. If the community knows about the abuse, bad things will happen to the perp. A lot has changed since I was a child, and many of us now hate child abusers. Just this week a man chopped two children after trying to sexually abuse one of them. The community joined forces and went in search of him. His sister said she didn’t know where he was, and she had to flee for her life. They burned her house to the ground. Anywhere he goes, he will be found and he will be praying the Police catches him before the people do. The laws don’t always work for the poor here, so they must create their own justice. That’s normalcy for many of us.
