Love is Here!

“Hey,” Maria interrupted Nancy’s thoughts, “Since you are feeling depressed today, why don’t we go check out the new exhibition at the Milton Mile Museum?”

“You mean the one everyone was complaining about? No one seems to understand what it means.” Nancy protested.

“They are giving away a thousand dollars to the one who can figure it out,” Maria attempts to lure her best friend.

“I thought it was one hundred dollars,” Nancy said.

“It went up because no one has been able to figure it out yet,” Maria updated her.

“And you think I can?”

“Well, you have been in the dumpster for months now, maybe something deeper than you might be able to pull you out,” Maria threw Nancy a bait.

Nancy stared at her friend, and something clicked, and her tongue said, “Ok,” without the consent from her brain.

Inside the museum was scanty, maybe it’s because lunchtime was over for everyone. Nancy cruises around searching for anything to feed the void and emptiness she has been feeling for months after her break up with Matt. Her boyfriend of five years. As she approaches a stack of Cross, a feeling of fullness ease through her.

Maria’s voice cut through saying, “You found it!”
