Reading this poem Here and Now by Sanjit Sengupta these words grabs me:
‘Create a bit of Heaven.’
Our world is in chaos, and it’s hasn’t been free of chaos for the past probably a hundred years or more. History knows the truth. Countries are fighting one another, while humanity is dying of hunger and poverty is raging. Children are the biggest casualty. When humanity isn’t fighting other countries, they are fighting among themselves. Then we have climate change and more natural disasters eg. Almost four thousand persons lost their lives.
The chaos has increased poverty, pain, anxiety, suffering, and everything destructive and negative because of a Pandemic that is showing humanity that they are no longer in control. Actually, they never were. Many of us find ways to live and survive by agreeing with the poet above.
We create our own piece of heaven. It’s hard to see cruelty and injustice and close your eyes and heart and keep…
