Not Being My Mother
Good morning. Reading: How Control and Fear Clouded My Understanding of Freedom of Choice by Amy Marley at medium.com
Bbbeeeaaauuutttiiifffuuulll post. I use the knowledge, wisdom, life, mistakes, decisions, choices, actions, etc of everyone I know, read about, and hear about to make myself better. My childhood was a painful one, so it was easy for me to be, and do the opposite of what my parents did. And I love the outcome. I am aware of my choices, actions, and decisions, and whether they bring me pain or joy, so being the opposite of my mother was easy for me. Even though I love my outcome, what my parents did contributed to it, but in a positive way. I can’t live the life my parents lived. In our world today, I and my family would never survive. When life backed us in a corner, most of us don’t really take the time to think about our choices and our fears, because our instincts and knowledge stepped in and make the right decisions with us. Mine did. I knew I didn’t want the same life of pain and poverty for my children. I believe everything good we want is in us. We just have to dig deep enough, and want it bad enough. How bad do you want good?
