Our world is going cashless.

…anted to pay
but the cashier
wasn’t there
“Hello-ooo” 
I sing-said
and then he came
to me and said
“My man, our machine 
isn’t working today–
cash only”
I searched my pockets
and found only my keys
my credit card and
an old lollipop stick
“Damn” I belched
“I got no cash”
he smiled at me
shook his head
and went back
to whatever
he was doing
before
