This happened to a child and nothing was done?

One of those students was a tall, smart boy with light brown hair. Miss Landry picked on him relentlessly. We never knew what he did to merit the yelling from Miss Landry. “Shame on you, the minister’s son” was something we heard often. Not only did she scream, she would march over to his desk and pull up both his ears with such force that he screamed as well. We all cringed and were frightened that she would find an excuse to direct her anger at one of us.
