Alcoholism is an ugly,

horrible disease —

its fumes evaporate

and poison families.

Yes, it does, my father was an alcoholic and as a child, I literally felt his pain. I didn’t know what it was at the time, but when he was brought home drunk it hurts me. He was never violent to anyone, even when he was drunk. Years later I found out why he drank. I have a weird understanding of the suffering of humanity and I often feel their pain. I pray for our world because there is too much pain in it. Thanks for the inspiration.
