Why listen to them.

People started comparing my daughter’s complexion to mine. They pointed out that my daughter had a darker complexion while I was fair-skinned. The hurtful comparisons weighed heavily on me. I was vulnerable which was extremely painful at that time.

Why listen to them. Hug her tighter and let them see it when they criticize. She is mine and I am nuts about her. Tell them that.
