Yep, we need flowers.

I don’t know snow — 
not now, 
not in Spring
when Earth longs for
its fragrant purple Hyacinths, 
blue Crocuses,
pink Tulips
and yellow Daffodils,
all so anxious to poke out
from the mud 
and melting snow.
to be free
of winter’s
cold icy grip.
