I did not go to film school. But I continued to write. I wrote and pitched a screenplay to a Hollywood Agent. He wasn’t interested in my romantic comedy about a love affair with the first woman President and the Russian Premier because he said — “We’re friends with the Russians now. What else have you got?” I didn’t have anything else at the time (a lesson learned). That was 1987.
